Haiti Fundraising

Thank you to everyone for your support in our recent fundraising for the Haiti earthquake appeal - through the children's talent contest, coffee morning and a staff raffle we have managed to raise the fantastic sum of £558.

Thank you to everyone who collected Flora Cooking with Schools tokens this year - with the tokens you collected we have been able to get mixing bowls, measuring jugs, a spatula and a digital timer for use in cookery lessons.

Flora Cooking with Schools 2010 has now started - please start collecting the tokens again - you can either enter them on the Flora website yourself, or bring the tokens into school (or you can just copy out and bring in the codes).

We would like to let you know about www.primaryschoolstrader.com.  It is a free school community trading website for Primary School communities throughout the UK.  Parents, teachers, friends and family can use Primaryschooltrader free of charge to buy/sell anything from pets to bikes, trampolines to buggys, toys to musical instruments.  The site is easy to use and is eco-friendly, encouraging recycling and reuse of items.

Payments to School 

If you send money into school for milk, music lessons, swimming, trips etc. please remember to send your payment card in with the money.  We need to let you know we have received money you have sent in and it is a terrible waste of resources if the office has to keep issuing new ones.  This does not apply to dinner money.  When money is brought into the office, please ensure that it is handed to either Mrs Sykes, Mrs Mather or to Mr Burbidge - DO NOT just leave money in the office - thank you.

Mrs Freeman’s recorder lessons will be during lunchtimes on Wednesday (Yrs 3, 4, 5 & 6) and Thursday (Yr 2).

If your child enrols in a club, please ensure that they are committed to attend every week as there are a limited number of places for each club and these are allocated on a first come, first served basis.  It is also essential that your child is collected punctually as the staff who run after-school clubs do so voluntarily and cannot be responsible for your child when the club ends.  We cannot accept children to watch e.g. brothers & sisters.
