Luston is a co-educational Primary School and serves the villages of Luston, Yarpole, Bircher and part of Bircher Common, Eye, Lucton, Eyton and Ashton. It is situated in the village on Westland View, 2 miles north of Leominster on the B4361. The buildings are being maintained and improved continually and children are encouraged to take pride in their surroundings. Five classrooms lead from a central Hall which is equipped for gymnastics. Cloakroom facilities are easily accessible and are sufficient for the number of children. The very young children have their own facilities. The school is surrounded by well kept playing fields and a
hard play area. A stream flows down one boundary and we are fortunate in having
very fine trees, and a wide variety of flora and fauna which have proved
invaluable as constant and developing resource. Several years ago the FLSA installed some wonderful adventure playground equipment for the pupils.
